UN Reports Over 38,000 Women Killed in Gaza Amid Ongoing Conflict

The United Nations has reported that more than 38,000 women and girls have been killed as a result of Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip from October 2023 to December 2025. This figure was released by the UN Women agency, describing it as part of the extensive civilian casualties in the conflict.
According to the report, over 70,000 civilians in Gaza have been killed during this period, with a significant portion being women, children, and elderly individuals. UN Women emphasized that these numbers highlight the severe impact of the war on the most vulnerable segments of society.
The report also states that the ongoing clashes have intensified the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with severe shortages of essential services such as healthcare, drinking water, and shelter, dramatically worsening the conditions for women and children. The agency called for immediate global attention to protect civilians and meet humanitarian needs in the region.
The Gaza Strip, one of the most densely populated areas in Palestine, has been subjected to extensive military attacks since October 2023. Reports from international agencies have consistently underscored the rising civilian casualties and destruction of vital infrastructure in the area.
