Imran Khan Strongly Criticizes Pakistan’s Judiciary Over Alleged Injustice and Political Pressure

Imran Khan, former Prime Minister of Pakistan, has sharply criticized the country’s judiciary, accusing judges of selling their “soul and integrity” for personal gains. He stated that despite repeated appeals to judicial institutions, no results have been achieved.

In a message on his X (formerly Twitter) page, Khan wrote that the judges should be ashamed of their conduct because, according to him, justice has not been served in cases related to him. He claimed that judicial processes are being managed to increase pressure on him.

According to Imran Khan, his wife, Bushra Bibi, is being held in solitary confinement 24 hours a day as a means to exert pressure on him, and that this has been authorized by the judges. He described this treatment as “inhumane.”

The former Prime Minister, who refers to himself as an “illegal prisoner,” said in a phone call from Adiala Jail to his sons that his wife is being treated unjustly. He added that although a 30-minute weekly visit has been arranged, this is often not permitted.

Imran Khan also emphasized that Islamic teachings condemn oppression of women, children, and the elderly, and that judges are responsible for upholding justice, rather than, as he alleges, becoming tools of political pressure.
