Taliban Administration Announces Resumption of Infrastructure Projects with Spring

The Taliban Ministry of Public Works has announced the restart of several infrastructure projects halted during the past winter. According to the ministry’s spokesperson, with the arrival of spring, work on these projects will resume. They were temporarily stopped in some areas of the country due to cold weather and unfavorable climatic conditions.
Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas stated that the programs include the construction and reconstruction of roads, railway expansions, and the building of bridges and culverts. He emphasized that implementing these projects can play a significant role in improving transportation facilities, boosting economic activities, and enhancing the living standards of residents.
The Taliban Ministry of Public Works assured that the works will be completed and put into operation with appropriate quality and within the specified timeframe, adhering to technical standards.
However, over recent years, some citizens have criticized the slow pace of infrastructure projects and the lack of transparency in budget spending. Experts also stress that effective oversight, transparent reporting, and free access to information can help increase public trust in such projects.
