Pakistan Accuses Taliban of Using Drug Addicts for Suicide Attacks and Employing Indian-Made Drones

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistan Army, announced that Pakistani forces targeted an ammunition depot and drones belonging to the Taliban administration in an attack on Kabul. He emphasized that military installations were struck during the attack and described reports of civilian casualties as “incorrect.”
Chaudhry claimed on Wednesday in an interview with Geo News that most Taliban fighters do not wear military uniforms and that drug addicts are used for suicide attacks. These statements come as the Taliban administration has yet to officially respond to these allegations.
The Pakistan Army spokesperson also alleged that the Taliban have used drones made in India in their attacks against Pakistan. This claim was made amid ongoing security tensions between the two sides.
Regarding a recent attack on a building in Kabul, which local sources said was a rehabilitation center for addicts, Chaudhry said the severity of the explosions following the attack indicates that the site housed a large weapons depot. However, the lack of transparency and limited access for independent media in Taliban-controlled areas have made independent verification of these claims difficult.
In recent months, security tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban administration have escalated, with both sides accusing each other of harboring and supporting armed groups—raising concerns about growing instability in the region.
