Lavrov Reports Failed Ukrainian Drone Attack on Putin’s Residence

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that Ukraine launched a drone attack on Sunday evening targeting Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence in the Novgorod region. According to Russian officials, the attack ended without casualties or damage. Lavrov told reporters that the assault involved 91 drones, all of which were shot down by Russian defense systems. He emphasized that the operation’s objective was the residence of the Russian president. Describing the event as a hostile act, the foreign minister added that Moscow does not consider such an attack acceptable. However, he stressed that Russia does not intend to abandon the course of talks and negotiations in response to this incident. Meanwhile, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Ukraine’s targeting of the president’s residence will not go unanswered and vowed that the move would receive a reciprocal response.
