Weather Warning Issued for 12 Afghan Provinces: Snow and Rain Forecasted

The Meteorological Department under the Ministry of Transport and Aviation has announced that on Tuesday, coinciding with the month of Marghum, 12 provinces of Afghanistan will experience snow and rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.
According to a statement released by the department yesterday, the provinces of Ghazni, Daikundi, Urozgan, Ghor, Faryab, Badghis, Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Helmand, Kandahar, and Zabul are among the regions expected to be affected by these weather conditions.
Meteorological forecasts estimate rainfall amounts between 10 to 30 millimeters in these provinces, with the possibility of snowfall ranging from 10 to 35 centimeters in higher altitude areas.
The Meteorological Department has urged residents of these provinces to take necessary precautions due to the potential for flash floods, landslides, and road closures, and to avoid non-essential travel on vulnerable routes.
