New Wave of Insecurity in Homs as Alawite Family Abducted in Crowded Neighborhood

Local sources in Syria report that members of an Alawite family were kidnapped in the city of Homs while returning to their home—an incident that once again highlights the fragile security situation in the country.

According to regional media, the abduction took place in the residential neighborhood of Karm al-Louz in Homs. A local source stated that the incident was carried out by unidentified armed individuals in a densely populated area.

The same source added that the kidnapping in a residential neighborhood has sparked fear and concern among local residents, further intensifying feelings of insecurity.

Previously, reports had emerged indicating that Alawites in certain parts of Syria have been targeted in attacks and abductions by elements affiliated with Jolani. This pattern has raised growing concerns over the continuation of sectarian violence and the lack of effective protection for civilians.
