Explosion Targets Taliban Vehicle in Panjshir’s Rukha District

Local sources in Afghanistan’s Panjshir province report that two successive explosions occurred on Tuesday evening (October 27) in the Tandi Khwaja area of Rukha district. According to these sources, the blasts were heard around 7:00 p.m. and appeared to target a military vehicle belonging to the Taliban administration.
Witnesses said gunfire was heard shortly after the explosions, significantly heightening tensions in the area. Taliban forces subsequently cordoned off the site and blocked access roads leading to the scene.
There has been no official report yet on casualties or damage resulting from the incident. However, local residents said several ambulances and fire trucks arrived at the scene after the blasts, suggesting the possibility of injuries or fatalities.
The Taliban administration has not yet issued an official response regarding the explosions. Panjshir province has experienced sporadic clashes and armed attacks against Taliban forces over the past year and a half, indicating ongoing instability in the region.
