Taliban Envoy Meets Indonesian Official in Jakarta to Discuss Regional Cooperation

Saadullah Baloch, the acting representative of the Taliban administration in Jakarta, met with Riki Ihsan, Head of the Central and East Asia Division at Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting, held in Indonesia, focused on the current situation along the Durand Line and a newly signed agreement between Kabul and Islamabad in Doha.
In a statement, the Taliban’s Jakarta office said Baloch emphasized the administration’s commitment to peace, good neighborly relations, and constructive regional cooperation during the talks.
The Taliban’s remarks on regional cooperation come amid ongoing international and domestic criticism of its internal policies in Afghanistan, including alleged human rights violations against minorities, severe restrictions on women, and the suppression of civil liberties.
