OIC Condemns Israeli Attack on Beit Jinn in Syria

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned an Israeli military strike on the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside, describing it as a flagrant violation of Syria’s territorial integrity.

In a statement issued by its secretariat, the OIC said the continuation of such military attacks on Syrian territory not only violates international law but also threatens regional security and stability, and undermines efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions in Syria.

The organization directly blamed the Israeli military for the assault and called on the international community to take urgent action to enforce relevant international resolutions and to protect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial unity.

According to official Syrian sources, Israeli forces entered Beit Jinn early Friday morning under the pretext of pursuing wanted individuals. The incursion led to fierce clashes with local residents, during which Israeli forces reportedly used artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles. At least 13 people were killed and several others injured in the confrontation.

This latest incident marks another example of Israel’s ongoing military interventions in Syria—attacks that have largely continued without significant response from international or regional bodies, raising growing concerns about rising violence in the region.
