The quake also caused the complete destruction of five houses and partial damage to 33 more.<\/p>\n<p>Hamdullah Fetrat, deputy spokesperson for the Taliban administration, announced on his X account today, Saturday, April 4, that these casualties and damages were recorded following the earthquake. He added that assessments of the affected areas are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported the earthquake measured 5.8 in magnitude and occurred at 8:42 PM local time. According to the report, the epicenter was located 35 kilometers south of Jurm district in Badakhshan province at a depth of 186.4 kilometers.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier local sources had reported that six members of a family in Bagrami district of Kabul province died as a result of the earthquake.
