The United Nations has stated that the restrictions imposed by the Taliban administration have severely deprived women and girls in Afghanistan of education, work, and social participation, leaving the human rights situation in a critical state.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, March 30, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights released a new report stating that schoolgirls and female university students are still not allowed to continue their education, with access to schools beyond the sixth grade and universities remaining closed to them.<\/p>\n
According to the report, women who do not comply with the Taliban\u2019s dress code are barred from using public transportation and, in some cases, prevented from accessing public services; measures that have further deepened restrictions on their daily lives.<\/p>\n
The report also notes that Taliban fighters have blocked Afghan women\u2014including staff, contractors, and UN visitors\u2014from entering UN offices and facilities across various parts of the country.<\/p>\n
