The Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the main focus of the talks was political and economic cooperation as well as the current situation in the region.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ministry\u2019s newsletter, Mr. Muttaqi described what he termed &#8220;the aggressions of the US and Israel against Iran&#8221; as detrimental to the countries in the region. He added that escalating tensions could impact regional stability.<\/p>\n<p>The Taliban foreign minister also spoke about the increasing level of trade exchanges between Afghanistan and Iran and expressed appreciation for the Iranian officials&#8217; stance regarding recent developments between Afghanistan and Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Iran\u2019s ambassador to Kabul described the two countries\u2019 relations, especially in trade, as expanding.
