The Syrian Foreign Ministry, in a statement, called the ceasefire an important measure to ease tensions between the two neighboring countries and said such steps could pave the way for dialogue and strengthen regional security and stability. Kuwait\u2019s Foreign Ministry also described the move as a \u201cpositive initiative\u201d to reduce tensions between the two sides.<\/p>\n
Kuwait further appreciated the efforts of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey in facilitating this process and emphasized that dialogue and peaceful solutions are the most effective ways to resolve disputes. Jordan\u2019s Foreign Ministry also welcomed the ceasefire, expressed its support for peaceful solutions, and praised the role of mediating countries.<\/p>\n
Saudi Arabia\u2019s Foreign Ministry, in a separate statement, welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Kabul and Islamabad and praised the positive response from both parties. Riyadh stressed that it will continue its diplomatic efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in the region.<\/p>\n
Turkey also welcomed the development, expressing hope that both countries would adhere to their commitments regarding the ceasefire.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban administration, announced on Wednesday evening that the security and defense forces under the Taliban\u2019s administration have temporarily suspended defensive operations called \u201cRadd al-Zulm\u201d on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and at the request of Islamic mediator countries including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Qatar.<\/p>\n
