Fawzia Koofi, a former member of Afghanistan\u2019s parliament and a prominent women’s rights advocate, has recently expressed appreciation for Qatar\u2019s role in mediating complex international conflicts, in a message posted on the social media platform X.<\/p>\n
In another part of her message, Koofi emphasized that under Taliban rule, not only will Afghanistan fail to find peace with its own people, but regional stability will also remain elusive. She stated that this reality is \u201ceasily understood\u201d and \u201crequires no complex interpretation.\u201d<\/p>\n
She also criticized those who have recently voiced support for the Taliban regime under the banner of \u201cdefending national sovereignty,\u201d stating that such individuals now bear responsibility to explain the contents of any agreements made to the public. Koofi accused these supporters of enabling the continuation of Taliban rule and the perpetuation of a discriminatory system against women.<\/p>\n
Over the past two years, the Taliban administration has been accused of imposing harsh restrictions on women and systematically excluding them from public life.
