The spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Health under the Taliban administration has announced that over the past year, 1,290 tons of expired, low-quality, and illegal medicines, food items, and health products have been collected and destroyed across the country.<\/p>\n
According to Sharafat Zaman Amarkhail, this amount of material was gathered by monitoring teams from the Ministry of Public Health in Kabul and several provinces before being incinerated.<\/p>\n
Officials from the ministry stated that monitoring of pharmacies, food supply centers, and other health-related sectors continues to prevent the distribution of substandard products in the market.<\/p>\n
