In a fresh wave of attacks in northwest Pakistan, at least 11 security personnel and three civilians, including a child, were killed, and 25 others were injured. These incidents resulted from two explosions and an armed clash in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.<\/p>\n
According to the French news agency AFP, citing a Pakistani security official, on Monday evening a suicide bomber rammed a vehicle laden with explosives into the wall of a religious seminary in the Bajaur tribal area. The blast killed eight police officers inside the school and wounded 10 others.<\/p>\n
The report stated that the explosion’s intensity caused the roofs of several nearby houses to collapse, resulting in the death of a child. Security officials have warned that the number of casualties could rise.<\/p>\n
In a separate attack in Bannu city, a bomb planted in a vehicle exploded at the Miryan police station. The incident claimed the lives of two civilians and injured 17 others.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in the Shangla district, during a security forces search operation, three police officers and three militants were killed in an armed encounter. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police stated in a release that the militants killed in this clash had previously been involved in attacks against Chinese nationals.<\/p>\n
