The purpose of this visit is to evaluate the environmental situation, monitor the enforcement of environmental laws, and inaugurate a national tree-planting campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The National Environmental Protection Agency stated that during this visit, the effective implementation of environmental laws and regulations across the country will also be assessed. Examining industrial and urban activities and strengthening coordination among local offices are other key focuses of the program.<\/p>\n<p>According to the agency\u2019s information, Mr. Khalis will meet and hold discussions with the provincial governor, sectoral department officials, and several environmental activists during his stay in Herat. The accompanying delegation is also scheduled to visit several urban and industrial projects and facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The National Environmental Protection Agency has announced that following these visits, necessary proposals to improve the environmental situation will be submitted.
