Following an explosion at a Chinese hotel in Kabul, China on Tuesday, January 19, has called on the Taliban to ensure the security of its citizens in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
In a press conference, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Taliban have been urged to seriously guarantee the safety of all Chinese citizens, projects, and institutions.<\/p>\n
The ministry added that one Chinese citizen was killed and five others injured in the explosion.<\/p>\n
China has requested that the Taliban provide medical treatment to the injured from the incident.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Beijing supports regional countries in the fight against terrorism.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, China has advised its citizens not to travel to Afghanistan in the near future.<\/p>\n
The explosion at the Chinese hotel in Karte Naw, Kabul, on Monday left seven people dead.<\/p>\n
The blast killed six Afghan citizens and injured 17 others.<\/p>\n
The Islamic State (ISIS) group has claimed responsibility for the attack.<\/p>\n
