The historic site officially opened to tourists on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to information released by the ministry, the restoration process began about 17 months ago and cost approximately 17.5 million Afghanis. Officials said the funding was provided from the Ministry of Information and Culture\u2019s internal budget.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Shah Baba&#8217;s house is considered one of Kandahar\u2019s historical symbols and was built in the Bukhara architectural style.
