The incident occurred in one of the city&#8217;s busiest commercial districts, causing significant damage to local residents.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul Matin Qanei, spokesperson for the Taliban&#8217;s Ministry of Interior, stated that preliminary investigations indicate the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. According to him, the financial damage sustained by traders and shopkeepers totals approximately $700,000.<\/p>\n<p>Mandawi, known as one of the oldest and most important wholesale trade centers in Kabul, is densely packed with warehouses and shops. In the absence of proper safety measures, the risk of such incidents is heightened.
