Iran\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended an invitation to Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban\u2019s acting foreign minister, to visit Tehran. <\/p>\n
According to a statement issued by the Taliban-run Foreign Ministry, Mohammad Reza Bahrami, head of the Asia Department at Iran\u2019s Foreign Ministry, presented the official invitation during a meeting with Muttaqi.<\/p>\n
The meeting was held as part of ongoing bilateral discussions. During the talks, Bahrami shared details of a recent regional summit hosted by Tehran, emphasizing Iran\u2019s commitment to fostering relations with Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
Muttaqi reportedly stated that Afghanistan has emerged from a ‘difficult’ phase and should no longer be viewed as a ‘problem’ in regional politics. He added that the Taliban administration seeks active, cooperative relations with neighboring countries, based on its core foreign policy principles.<\/p>\n
