However, this trade has now come to a halt.<\/p>\n<p>PAJCCI has warned that if the current disruption continues, seasonal exports such as oranges and potatoes\u2014typically traded between December and March\u2014could face further estimated losses of around $200 million.<\/p>\n<p>The prolonged shutdown of trade routes between Afghanistan and Pakistan not only harms businesses on both sides, but also negatively impacts the livelihoods of thousands of residents in border regions.
