Tariq al-Ahmad, a Syrian political activist, has warned that the country is facing a dangerous rise in sectarianism and may experience a new wave of violence and internal conflict if current policies persist.<\/p>\n
In an interview with regional media outlets, al-Ahmad said sectarian divisions in Syria have grown alarmingly, and actions by affiliates of Julani \u2014 Syria\u2019s self-declared president \u2014 have deepened social rifts. According to him, Syria\u2019s current administration operates primarily through security responses and military decisions, leaving almost no space for civil engagement and dialogue.<\/p>\n
Pointing to the arrests of several former employees of the Ministry of Justice, al-Ahmad described the situation as a clear sign of human rights suppression in the country. He emphasized that religious and ethnic minorities in Syria are facing targeted attacks and widespread discrimination.<\/p>\n
He also noted that the Syrian people aspire to build a country based on the rule of law and civil coexistence.
