His remarks come as US President Donald Trump announced the imminent launch of a &#8220;ground operation against drug trafficking&#8221; in Venezuela.<\/p>\n<p>Maduro&#8217;s comments were delivered just hours after dozens of US citizens staged a protest outside the White House in Washington, D.C., strongly condemning any potential American military intervention in Venezuela&#8217;s internal affairs.<\/p>\n<p>In unveiling the planned ground offensive, President Trump said that the US had moved beyond the stage of \u201capplying pressure\u201d on Venezuela.
