The event was attended by Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Taliban\u2019s Prime Minister, Taliban Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, and Mullah Abdul Wasi, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n<p>During the launch of his diplomatic mission, Qatar\u2019s new envoy highlighted his country\u2019s previous support for Afghanistan and affirmed Doha\u2019s commitment to peace, stability, and progress for the Afghan people. He also pledged ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund expressed hope for improved ties between the two countries and praised Qatar\u2019s role during Afghanistan\u2019s difficult periods. He asked the ambassador to convey his goodwill message to the Qatari leadership and stated, &#8220;We hope this cooperation will deepen.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi also welcomed the appointment of an ambassador familiar with the internal structure of the Taliban administration and wished him success in his new mission.<\/p>\n<p>While diplomatic engagement remains a feature of Afghanistan\u2019s regional relations, the presence of foreign representatives in Kabul continues to raise concerns among human rights and political organizations.
