Qari Din Mohammad “Hanif,” the Taliban-led administration\u2019s Minister of Economy, held a farewell meeting on Thursday with Cenk \u00dcnal, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires and Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in Kabul, marking the end of \u00dcnal\u2019s diplomatic mission in the Afghan capital.<\/p>\n
A delegation from Turkey\u2019s Diyanet Foundation also attended the meeting, during which the two sides discussed ongoing humanitarian assistance, the expansion of economic cooperation, and Turkey\u2019s role in implementing public welfare projects in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
The Taliban\u2019s Economy Minister highlighted the Turkish diplomat\u2019s role in strengthening bilateral ties and wished him success in his future assignments. The meeting took place amid Afghanistan’s ongoing humanitarian crisis, with continued international aid considered essential for the survival of many citizens.<\/p>\n
Cenk \u00dcnal thanked the Ministry of Economy for its cooperation during his tenure and reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to maintaining its aid program in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
He described his mission in Kabul as fruitful, noting strengthened collaboration between Kabul and Istanbul in sectors including trade, transit, and public service projects.<\/p>\n
\u00dcnal also announced that the Turkish government had sent a humanitarian shipment of 1,000 tons to victims of recent earthquakes in various Afghan provinces.
