The ’16 Days of Activism’ campaign, which begins on November 25\u2014International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women\u2014aims to end all forms of violence against women around the world. In Afghanistan, these appeals carry particular weight amid the Taliban’s ongoing suppression of women and the widespread restrictions imposed on their daily lives and basic freedoms.<\/p>\n
Since the Taliban’s return to power in 2021, they have severely restricted women’s access to education, employment, and public life. International organizations have repeatedly urged the group to lift these limitations.
