Around one thousand people are currently employed in this phase. However, according to Panjshir’s governor, the use of machinery and advanced equipment remains prohibited until official guidelines are issued by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.

Panjshir governor Mohammad Agha Hakim described this move as being based on the “Rahmat” decree by the Amir of the Islamic Emirate, aiming to support local residents and create job opportunities. The Panjshir Directorate of Mines and Petroleum also stated that it is awaiting formal instructions from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum to commence legal extraction of red gold with specialized equipment and methods.

Nonetheless, these restrictions reflect concerns about the economic and technical consequences of the decision and raise questions regarding the impact of the ban on productivity and the benefits for the local population.

Previously, red gold mining in Panjshir was entirely prohibited, and now only limited traditional and manual extraction is permitted. Some Panjshir residents view this limited access as a partial step toward generating employment, but the restriction on advanced technologies may slow down economic development.

Taliban limits traditional manual gold mining in Panjshir, allowing limited employment but banning advanced equipment until official mining guidelines are issued.

[7,17,16

post-25456","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business","category-important-news","category-secondary-headline
["GET
