According to Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, the ministry’s spokesperson, over 4.888 million metric tons of goods were moved through the routes of Hairatan, Aqina, Torghundi ports, and the Khaf-Herat corridor during this period. This figure stood at just over 2.182 million metric tons in the same timeframe last year. He noted that most imported goods included petroleum products, foodstuffs, and building materials, while exports to regional countries consisted mainly of dried fruits, cotton, minerals, and other domestic products. Although this significant increase in freight transport indicates a relative improvement in transit activities, the overall state of infrastructure and ongoing economic limitations continue to pose serious challenges to trade in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Afghanistan’s railway trade goods transport more than doubled in early 1405, signaling increased activity despite ongoing infrastructure and economic challenges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":25441,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[7,17],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-25442","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business","category-important-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/25442","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=25442"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/25442\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/25441"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=25442"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=25442"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=25442"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
