Herat Municipality has announced the official opening of ‘Imam Muslim 32’ road following completion of asphalt paving and foundational infrastructure work. Located west of the 64-meter road, this newly developed road stretches 450 meters and is part of the municipality\u2019s broader urban development plans.<\/p>\n
Mohammad Naser Armal, the spokesperson for the Herat Municipality, stated that in addition to the asphalt paving, the project included the construction of culverts and dual-side drainage systems. He added that the project was completed with over 3.5 million Afghanis allocated from the municipality\u2019s development budget.<\/p>\n
This development comes amid widespread delays or halts in urban infrastructure projects in many Afghan provinces since the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan more than two years ago. One of the major concerns among citizens has been the lack of transparency in project implementation and the absence of public oversight over development funds.<\/p>\n
