According to the Afghan Embassy in China, the Taliban ambassador, after hearing the prisoners\u2019 concerns, promised to make comprehensive efforts to improve their conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Karimi also met with the head of Lanzhou prison and other relevant officials to raise issues concerning the Afghan prisoners. The prison authorities assured him that steps would be taken to resolve these prisoners\u2019 problems.<\/p>\n<p>This meeting comes amid ongoing concerns from families and human rights organizations about the legal and welfare status of Afghan prisoners abroad.
