The assault resulted in the death of one civilian and injuries to five members of a single family. The office of the Deputy Commissioner of South Waziristan stated on the social media platform X that Taliban mortar fire caused these civilian casualties. Meanwhile, Samar Haroon Bilour, the information advisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government, announced a strong response from the Pakistani military. According to him, Pakistani forces targeted and destroyed several Taliban posts in retaliation for the incursion. Local sources also reported clashes last night between Taliban fighters and Pakistani border guards in the Angoor Adda area of Barmal district, Paktika province. A Taliban security source in Barmal told the Etelaat-e-Roz newspaper that the fighting began around 5 p.m. along the Durand Line. This incident again intensifies insecurity and border tensions between the Taliban administration and the Pakistani government, highlighting ongoing threats to civilians in these sensitive areas.

Taliban militants attacked residential areas near Pakistan’s Angoor Adda border crossing, killing one civilian and injuring five, prompting a strong Pakistani military response.

[17,5

post-24858","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-security-incidents
["GET
