The extraction of various precious and semi-precious stones such as beryl, quartz and morganite is under way in hundreds of mines in these districts.

Reports indicate that since the Taliban returned to power, the extraction and sale of mineral resources, especially gold and precious stones, has increased in various provinces. However, it is said that the revenue from these resources is being used for the Taliban’s military and administrative expenses rather than being invested in local infrastructure, raising concerns about the inadequate exploitation of mines and its negative impact on the economic development of local areas.

Taliban officials in Kunar say they earned over 150 million afghanis from an auction of 500 kg of precious stones.

[7,17

post-24364","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business","category-important-news
["GET
