Two children from the family of the district chief were seriously injured in a fire caused by a gas balloon malfunction at the home of the district chief of Kalfgan in Afghanistan’s Takhar province. Local sources say the district chief was also injured while trying to save his children.<\/p>\n
Security forces responded after the incident was reported and managed to bring the fire under control. The injured were transferred to Takhar Provincial Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
The incident has raised concerns about security conditions and the standard of equipment in local officials’ homes, an issue that requires serious attention from the Taliban administration to prevent similar cases from happening again.<\/p>\n
