He also said shipments of Russian diesel would be sent to the United States about 15 to 20 days after contracts are finalised, while deliveries to other countries would take less time.

Novak stressed that Russian oil companies are ready to increase diesel exports once commercial agreements are signed. It had previously been announced that fuel loading and coordination of sea transport for shipments to the United States were necessary, and that the process takes two to three weeks.

The comments came after a phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump. Moscow said it plans to supply more than 300,000 tonnes of diesel to global markets in October, 500,000 tonnes in November, and then 1 million tonnes in the following months.

The news comes as the European Union is implementing plans to reduce its dependence on Russian energy and is trying to cut gas imports from the country.

Russia says it supplies 17% to 20% of EU LNG imports and plans to boost diesel exports to the US and other markets.

[6

post-24150","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-international
["GET
