{"id":23360,"date":"2026-10-06T13:45:20","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T13:45:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/2026\/10\/06\/icc-arrest-warrants-taliban-officials-fazl-ahmad-maanavi\/"},"modified":"2026-10-06T13:45:20","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T13:45:20","slug":"icc-arrest-warrants-taliban-officials-fazl-ahmad-maanavi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/2026\/10\/06\/icc-arrest-warrants-taliban-officials-fazl-ahmad-maanavi\/","title":{"rendered":"Maanavi Welcomes ICC Arrest Warrants Against Taliban Officials"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fazl Ahmad Maanavi, the justice minister in the former republic administration, has welcomed the International Criminal Court\u2019s public announcement of arrest warrants for four senior Taliban officials, saying legal responsibility for violations of people\u2019s rights does not disappear with time.<\/p>\n<p>In a message on the social media platform X, he wrote that the warrants issued against \u201cHibatullah Akhundzada, Abdul Hakim Haqqani, Habibullah Agha and Nada Mohammad Nadeem\u201d show that \u201cthe Afghanistan file\u201d remains open in the process of international justice.<\/p>\n<p>Maanavi added that on November 21, 2022, he shared issues related to the situation in Afghanistan and violations of people\u2019s rights with the International Criminal Court, and since then, he said, the process has continued in a \u201cslow but persistent\u201d manner.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that documenting human rights violations may be delayed, but it eventually reaches the path of justice.
