The office also claimed that salt imports into the country have been completely halted.<\/p>\n<p>The report said the required salt is supplied from domestic reserves and processing plants. Salt mines in the provinces of Faryab, Takhar and Herat were identified as among the sources that have contributed to the increase in production.<\/p>\n<p>The Taliban administration&#8217;s economic deputy office said the aim of this policy is to support domestic mineral extraction, attract investment and reduce dependence on imports of essential goods.
