{"id":23112,"date":"2026-10-03T12:45:14","date_gmt":"2026-10-03T12:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/2026\/10\/03\/taliban-health-chief-russia-medical-cooperation-afghanistan\/"},"modified":"2026-10-03T12:45:14","modified_gmt":"2026-10-03T12:45:14","slug":"taliban-health-chief-russia-medical-cooperation-afghanistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/2026\/10\/03\/taliban-health-chief-russia-medical-cooperation-afghanistan\/","title":{"rendered":"Taliban Health Ministry chief seeks more medical cooperation from Russia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nor Jalal Jalali, acting minister of public health in the Taliban administration, has called for greater Russian assistance to improve Afghanistan&#8217;s health services during a meeting with Russian Health Minister Mikhail Albertovich Murashko.<\/p>\n<p>The Taliban-run Ministry of Public Health said Jalali raised Afghanistan&#8217;s health sector needs and priorities in the meeting, stressing the need to increase the professional capacity of staff and provide modern medical facilities.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ministry, the two sides discussed cooperation in the areas of medicines, vaccines, medical equipment, training for health workers and the transfer of new technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Murashko said Russia was ready to expand technical cooperation in the health sector.
