The Afghanistan Freedom Front has said that in an attack on a vehicle carrying Taliban fighters in Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan province, five members of the group were killed or wounded.<\/p>\n
In a statement released on Monday, 6 October, the front said the attack took place at 9:45 a.m. near the Taliban-run Department of Mines in Faizabad. According to the Afghanistan Freedom Front, three Taliban fighters were killed and two others were wounded in the incident.<\/p>\n
The front also claimed that its forces were not harmed during the attack. Independent sources have not yet commented on the incident.<\/p>\n
The attack comes as the Afghanistan Freedom Front has in recent weeks and days reported an increase in its attacks against Taliban forces in parts of Afghanistan. Yesterday, the group also claimed that 37 Taliban fighters were killed and 24 others wounded in clashes in Nuristan\u2019s Kamdesh district and Kunar\u2019s Nari district.<\/p>\n
