The meeting focused on ongoing security developments in Afghanistan and the growing threat posed by terrorist groups operating within the country.<\/p>\n<p>According to remarks shared by Sadiq Khan on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, both nations agreed to address escalating security challenges\u2014especially the risk of terrorism stemming from Afghan territory\u2014by strengthening regional cooperation and working toward lasting peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Sadiq Khan described the meeting as a significant opportunity to exchange perspectives on recent regional developments. Rising instability and repeated cross-border attacks along the Afghanistan-Pakistan boundary have once again raised alarms among neighboring countries.<\/p>\n<p>The talks come as the Taliban administration, after two years in power, has yet to curb the expansion of extremist groups such as ISIS-Khorasan.
