The agency said 64,506 cases of acute respiratory disease were also registered in the country during the same period.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report released on Sunday, 5 Mizan, the number of recorded respiratory disease cases fell by 17.4% compared with July. However, these diseases remain among Afghanistan\u2019s major public health challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The World Health Organization also said 1,423 suspected measles cases and seven related deaths were recorded. The agency said this figure showed a 44.5% decline compared with July.<\/p>\n<p>In July, 2,562 suspected measles cases and nine deaths from the disease were reported.
