Saudi Defence Minister Khalid bin Salman has met and held talks with Pakistan’s army chief, Asim Munir, on security issues related to Makkah and Saudi Arabia’s civilian and economic infrastructure.<\/p>\n
The Saudi defence minister wrote on X on Tuesday that the talks were held within the framework of the Makkah joint defence agreement, and that the outcomes of the chiefs of staff meeting were also reviewed.<\/p>\n
According to him, the two sides also continued to exchange views on attacks against the holy city of Makkah as well as Saudi civilian and economic facilities.<\/p>\n
Khalid bin Salman added that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan had stressed the continuation of joint efforts to counter these attacks, in line with the Makkah joint defence agreement.<\/p>\n
Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have maintained close security and defence ties in recent years, and military cooperation between the two countries is regarded as a constant pillar of bilateral relations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
