Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi arrived in Paris on Wednesday, October 26, at the invitation of his French counterpart, Jean-No\u00ebl Barrot.<\/p>\n
Araghchi’s visit to France follows his participation in the annual meeting of states party to the Chemical Weapons Convention, held in The Hague, Netherlands\u2014a major international conference focused on banning the use of chemical weapons.<\/p>\n
According to information provided by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, a range of topics will be discussed during the Paris talks, including the case of Mahdieh Esfandiari, an Iranian national who was arrested in France on March 1 of last year, accused of supporting Palestine. She was recently released on conditional bail.<\/p>\n
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated that the visit will also encompass discussions on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.<\/p>\n
