In a post on social media, Sanders stressed: \u201cWiping out the people of Iran, as Trump has threatened, is a war crime and a barbaric act that the United States should in no way be associated with.\u201d He added: \u201cNo, Mr. President, we should not wipe out the people of Iran. This is a war crime and a barbaric act.\u201d<\/p>\n
The U.S. senator also said that America\u2019s aggression against Iran was illegal, and that Congress must act immediately to end this war and take the necessary steps.<\/p>\n
Trump had earlier claimed during the UN General Assembly that he had to make a big decision on Iran: either reach a major deal with the country or wipe it out.
