Local sources in Ghorian district of Herat province say the bodies of two children, Khalid and Idris, have been found after they went missing several days ago. According to the sources, the two children were brothers.<\/p>\n
The sources said Khalid and Idris disappeared during a mourning ceremony for a family member. No further details have been released about the exact time they went missing.<\/p>\n
According to the sources, one of the close relatives of the two children, who had been helping the family search for them and distribute missing-person notices after they disappeared, was arrested by the Taliban administration after the family filed a complaint. The sources added that after his arrest, the person confessed to killing both children and also showed Taliban forces where the bodies were.<\/p>\n
According to local sources, the person is now being held at the Ghorian police command, and investigations into the case are ongoing. Local residents have also called for the perpetrator to be punished.<\/p>\n
