The body has not yet specified the exact time of the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>According to the OIC, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the secretary-general of the organization, is heading the high-level delegation taking part in the UN General Assembly session. The OIC secretariat also said that, alongside the Afghanistan issue, contact group meetings on Palestine, Jammu and Kashmir, the Rohingya Muslims, and Muslim communities and minorities will also be held.<\/p>\n<p>The OIC said the Afghanistan contact group was formed with the participation of representatives from regional countries to provide an effective mechanism for following up decisions related to Afghanistan and to strengthen cooperation in addressing the country&#8217;s humanitarian, political and economic challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The 81st session of the UN General Assembly opened on Tuesday, 17 September, at the organization\u2019s headquarters in New York.
