{"id":22110,"date":"2026-09-19T11:45:16","date_gmt":"2026-09-19T11:45:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/2026\/09\/19\/more-than-500-kg-of-narcotics-seized-in-takhar\/"},"modified":"2026-09-19T11:45:16","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T11:45:16","slug":"more-than-500-kg-of-narcotics-seized-in-takhar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlaspress.news\/en\/2026\/09\/19\/more-than-500-kg-of-narcotics-seized-in-takhar\/","title":{"rendered":"More than 500 kg of narcotics seized in Takhar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Security officials in Afghanistan&#8217;s Takhar province have said that more than 500 kilograms of narcotics were seized in several search operations in the province over the past two days.<\/p>\n<p>Naqibullah Masroor, the spokesman for the Takhar police command, said anti-narcotics units of the force recovered and confiscated 97 kilograms of opium and 26 kilograms of hashish from several vehicles in the provincial capital and Rustaq district.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, nine people from the provinces of Helmand and Takhar were arrested in connection with the incidents.<\/p>\n<p>He added that during the same operations, 420 kilograms of opium were also found and seized from a private ambulance used to transport the drugs.<\/p>\n<p>Takhar is located in northeastern Afghanistan, and Rustaq is one of the province&#8217;s districts.
