Saudi sources said Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Cairo on Tuesday on a working visit, where he was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.<\/p>\n
According to reports, the leaders of Saudi Arabia and Egypt are expected to discuss several major regional issues and matters of mutual interest during the meeting. Recent tensions linked to Iran in the region and the file of attacks by Yemen’s armed forces on Saudi Arabia are among the expected focuses of the talks.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the Egyptian presidency said the meeting would include an exchange of views on the latest regional developments in light of current events, as well as discussions on ways to strengthen bilateral ties and expand joint cooperation.<\/p>\n
At the start of the visit, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry also issued a statement strongly condemning the attacks on several Saudi cities. The ministry said such attacks constitute a clear violation of international law and a threat to regional stability and security.<\/p>\n
Cairo also expressed its opposition to the continuation of these attacks, warning that their persistence could lead to increased tensions in the region. The Foreign Ministry further stressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia against any threat.<\/p>\n
