The administration said that after discussion, 12 projects were approved and the necessary amendments to 10 other projects were also accepted.<\/p>\n<p>At the same meeting, contracts for two projects were cancelled because of what were described as shortcomings by the contracting companies. Under the commission\u2019s decision, the road construction project from the start of Nakhas Road to Omid-e Sabz Township will be implemented by Kabul Municipality, and a project belonging to the Taliban administration\u2019s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum will be put out to tender again.<\/p>\n<p>The procurement commission also decided to retender four other projects that had problems in their procurement process. In addition, two other projects were assigned to designated committees to negotiate prices with the winning companies and submit the report to the commission leadership.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Taliban administration, the approved projects include the construction of hospitals in the Khost wa Farang district of Baghlan province and the Sayd Karam district of Paktia province, the construction of a number of internal roads in Kabul city, and the implementation of electricity distribution and transmission networks in various provinces. The amended projects also include the completion of remaining sections of the Darul Aman complex belonging to the Ministry of Finance, the 200-bed hospital in Kunar, and Al-Shifa Hospital in Kabul.<\/p>\n<p>The Economic Deputy Office of the Taliban\u2019s Prime Minister said the costs of all these projects will be covered by the administration itself.
